2015 Dirtoir #4 ‘Te Muna Late Harvest Gris’
Working with Martinborough based winemaker Simon Groves we found this parcel of amazing late harvest Pinot Gris from Te Muna, at 50 grams per liter sugar which allows the wine to sit on the precipice between dessert and table wine creating something that works for both. Juicy, super-ripe pear, quince marry with cloves and musk. Enjoy with stinky-ass blue cheese, rich parfaits, fruit desserts or super-spicy Thai and Vietnamese preparations. Or just pour half a glass over ice and top up with soda. ‘Cause that's classy right.
