2015 Tongue in Groove “Little Stopmper”
Little Stomper... We don't know if the name refers to crushing the grapes by foot or a little barn-dance action (they are like that in North Canterbury). What we do know is that this is one of the best orange wines (and boy is it orange) in the kiwi market today. Rich and supple with juicy fruit, dry tannins and just enough funk. This wine calls out for rich fish cooked in miso. The good folk at T&D describe the wine as having a similar texture to Nebbiolo rose and I think the analogy is apt.
