2016 Black Estate Rose
The 2016 Black Estate Rose is their best and most boundary-pushing yet - it is a co-fermentation of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay that undergoes partial carbonic maceration. White grapes make up around 20% of the blend creating a wine that sits on the boundary between dark rose and light red. It is dry and funky with notes of strawberry, rhubarb, tamarillo and licorice. It has a herbal edge and unspeakable purity.
