2016 Pheasant's Tears Kisi
Pheasant’s Tears are a new-ish but legendary estate in Georgia, one of the world's oldest continuing wine regions. These wines are made traditionally from Autochthonous varieties and are fermented on skins in quervi buried in the earth. The Kisi is light, delicate and beautifully aromatic with soft tannins and a beguiling floral aroma. This is pretty edgy, powerful truly orange wine but it expresses this style at its best and in a way that is respectful of tradition and history.
