Bouby Legouge Champange
Bouby is one of the few wines that have been on our shelves since we opened our doors 16 months ago. The reason for this is simple - its one of those rare wines that balances quality and value so well that we simply have not been able to find a better wine at a better price. It is a Grower Champange which means, that unlike the big brands who spend masses on marketing the folks behind Bouby (yes saying the name feels kind of cheeky) don't have a marketing budget, instead, are dedicated to making the best wine possible. Stylistically it is big and rich, with 36 months aging on lees in barrel for added complexity - think Bolly or Krug at a fraction of the price. It is $48 a bottle - that's not a special price that's the price we have it at all year round. To my mind its the best Champers we can get for under $50.
