I love this wine. I love it so much I drank it at my wedding. So I was overjoyed to find out the importer has just landed a small allocation. It is Prosecco Jim but not as we know it. Glera is the grape variety used to make Prosecco, but this wine is so effed up that it falls outside the strictures of the Prosecco DOC - which is bizarre considering kiwi and aussie winemakers can call the grape Prosecco, regardless of style. It is cloudy, with crunchy wild apple notes and just a hint of sparkle. It is made hamming historical methods of Prosecco productions, in a similar way to the uber-hipster PetNats of the modern natural wine movement.
